But for me and many people I know, fragranced candles come with a cost: headaches, congestion, and that lingering chemical feeling in the air. For people with some medical conditions, the consequences can be even more severe.

I wanted the ambiance candles provide without the negative consequences of fragrances in the air. So I started looking for truly beautiful, high-quality unscented candles. What I found was limited: either utilitarian emergency candles, or the occasional unscented candle tucked into a fragrance-focused brand's lineup, an afterthought in a sea of scented options.

That's why I created the Unscented Candle Company. I believe you shouldn't have to choose between the ambiance you want and the air you can actually breathe. Our candles have absolutely no fragrance added and are available in a curated selection of beautiful vessels.

Your choice shouldn't be limited to scented or unscented; it should include the style, aesthetic, and mood you're actually creating.

Who we are

Unscented Candle Company is a small, independent candle maker based in Minnesota. Every one of our candles is lovingly hand-poured in small batches. Currently all aspects of the business are performed by a single person, company owner Wendy Phillips.

I believe that honesty and transparency are the foundation of everything I do. From the way I describe our products to the ingredients I use, I want you to feel completely confident in every purchase you make with us. No hidden ingredients, no misleading descriptions, no compromises.

Our candles are housed in a carefully curated collection of beautiful vessels, each one named after a city and each one chosen because it has a character and story all of its own. And because I think you deserve something worth keeping, our collection focuses on vessels that can be repurposed and enjoyed long after the last of the wax is gone.
